Accommodation options for tourists are wonderful, and the variety includes hotels, guest houses, game lodges and camping facilities and as Zambia is well known for its reserves and game parks, nature should definitively be on the itinerary of any tourist. South Luangwa is probably the best national park in Zambia, if not the entire African continent, as it has a high game density and is located in a remote and utterly wild area.

The greatest concentration of game is to be found along the Luangwa River, which is also one of the most important rivers in Africa. The ideal times to spot the wildlife is during the months of August to October, although the temperatures often reach higher than 32°C, which can prove to be uncomfortable for some.

A major attraction of Zambia is the Zambezi River and the spectacular Victoria Falls, where tourists can sightsee or take up the challenge of canoeing, white-water rafting or bungee jumping. An exciting adventure activity is to view the Victoria Falls from a microlight, helicopter or vintage Tiger Moth bi-plane, and is probably the best way to see this incredible natural phenomenon, with its massive misty sprays and colourful rainbows.
