At the end of your trek walk, you are transferred by road to your hotel in Arusha mainly Impala Hotel in Arusha for a very welcome hot shower, and to enjoy a relaxing overnight stay including dinner and breakfast.  You will be collected from your Arusha hotel or lodge the next morning after an early breakfast and driven by your wildlife tours guide to Arusha National Park. The Ngurdoto Crater sits at the eastern edge of the park, is 3.6kms across and 100m deep, and has plentiful wildlife on its marshy floor.  The whole park has the spectacular backdrop of Mt Meru to the west, Africa's 5th highest peak, and on clear days, enjoys views across to Kilimanjaro, which is 50kms away to the east.  The best time to travel in Arusha is between June and February, as greater numbers of game should be seen then, although it may rain around November-time.The day will be spent with safaris game drives and a stop to enjoy the scenery with a packed lunch.

Arusha Tanzania the safari capital of Tanzania East Africa - Although its one of Tanzania’s smallest parks, Arusha National Park is one of its most beautiful and topographically varied.

Arusha National Park Tanzania is a multi-faceted jewel, offering the opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats. Arusha National Parkcovers 137sq. kilometers and lies between the peaks of Mountain Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. The main features are Ngudoto Crater, the Momela lakes and Mt. Meru.Arusha National Park’s most publicises is Mt. Meru, the eastern slopes and 4,566m peak which lie within the par boundaries. The flora and fauna varies with the topography, which ranges from forest to swamp. Further north, rolling grassy hills enclose the tranquil beauty of the Momela Lakes, each one a different hue of green or blue. Their shallows sometimes tinged pink with thousands of flamingos, the lakes support a rich selection of resident and migrant waterfowl, and shaggy waterbucks display their large lyre-shaped horns on the watery fringes. Giraffes glide across the grassy hills, between grazing zebra herds, while pairs of wide-eyed dik-dik dart into scrubby bush like overgrown hares on spindly legs.
