”The hotel accommodation in Mombassa was wonderful, white sands beach hotel
was wonderful, the atmospheric hotel and was a real treat. I would recommend
this place to anyone - The tours to Malindi and Watamu were good and
organized well. Tsavo was also excellent; the lodge is truly luxurious and
has a wonderful location. For 3 nights we were treated like loyalties in the
lodge. Overall it all went very smoothly and exceeded expectations. A great
safari in Kenya and when we next need a trip to Africa I shall get back in
touch”.
Hello Esther
Kenya safari was fabulous! Beyond our expectations! Every arrangement, every detail, was in the words of our safari guide at Mara Sarova Tented Camp "Super Duper!" I believe we saw every animal we could have seen including seeing leopards two days in succession at Masai Mara. Among our highlights was a baboon getting into our tent Tortillis Camp Amboseli and pilfering Anne warm-up jacket, which was ready for the Salvation Army anyway, and an elephant charging our Land Rover at Samburu Sopa Lodge. We are most appreciative you booked us only into luxury Safari camps and lodges. At Masai Mara we went on a seven hour game drive, we managed to see a cheetah track an impala, a hyena steal an impala carcass from a female leopard and her cub, and a female leopard and her cub chowing down on a kudu. All flights and transfers were right on time. All in all, we had a wonderful Kenya tour and want to thank you for your creativity, diligence and care.
All the best,
Anne and Moses Norway Melbone Sidney
Dear Edwin
We are safely back from our wonderful Africa holiday, to find England under 15cm of snow! I just would like to thank you again for arranging the wonderful safari we had last week in Tanzania! We saw the big 5 again, two leopards hanging in a tree from very close and a cheetah for 50 m. distance crossing the road at the back of our jeep, many lions with cubs, three tree climbing lions hanging in different trees, hyena with cubs, 4 black rhinos and of course thousands of wildebeest crossing the Grumeti River full of crocodiles. The Serena Lodges and Hotels in Serengeti and hotels in Lake Manyara were really fantastic with beautiful rooms and delicious buffets. We really had an unforgettable holiday to Tanzania!
Best regards,

Esther Safari of a lifetime! I am now a “spoiled” traveler. Thanks for the amazing safari itinerary! We were so impressed as you really take all this very seriously! I LOVED the area around Migration Camp Serengeti --our tour drive each day was terrific and our driver, Richard was such a great teacher! And we always had 'private' drives. One afternoon, I went out on a drive by myself. It was simply amazing! The Crater Lodge was incredible! It was like staying on a movie set! A combination of decor that you would never really see anywhere else! The food was great...and, again, the staff was so friendly and helpful! We saw one of only EIGHT cheetahs in the crater (we were amazed by that!) and we saw two rhino (which, of course, we would not have seen anywhere else). Plus there was a 'close encounter' with a lioness that led to some awesome pictures! I would definitely recommend the Crater Lodge to friends! But I'd stress Lake Manyara first! Andour guide for our Zanzibar Stonetown tour was great! I don't remember his
Name, but he had given Bill Clinton a short walking tour the year before. He seemed to know everyone in Stonetown! We took a walking tour and we were able to go out in the afternoon for a spice Island tour with him. The one-on-one attention was wonderful and totally unexpected. The Zanzibar beach hotel was outstanding and Mnemba resort was simply heaven. I think one of the best parts of the holiday was the fact that our lodges were small enough that we could have very nice conversations with the small number of guests and then our safari drives and tours were private (we only had to share a drive one day - and had a great time, at that!). I was very impressed by that because we traveled during the 'high season'. Our Tanzania safari reservation with Esther was handled courteously and efficiently. You were very helpful, we loved that! We did not have to worry about anything. Every question and concern was addressed quickly and thoroughly! Friendly emails and detailed answers. Thanks again for helping us have an amazing African experience!

Hi Esther
I hope this email finds you and your family in good health. In short, our Uganda tour was fantastic. We really had a great time and of course the gorilla safari was the highlight. Leonard was a great gorilla tour guide being very considerate and thoughtful to our every need. We are just sorry that he took ill and had to go through all he did. Even so he was still so concerned about us all the time. When we were talking with Charles we mentioned that there are two magazines in California that are read extensively by people wanting to travel to Uganda. I have included their web sites below as thought it may be worth looking into for advertising purpose. We have raved about your safari company to all we have spoken and told our story to, so let hope that there will be some interest shown.
Best regards,

Thank you so much for the really excellent service you provided us with. Having never booked a holiday to Africa online previously I was worried about security issues around payment etc. however your staff, and especially Edwin, made everything extremely easy. I was impressed with the speed at which you replied to my requests for information, and the fact that what you suggested matched our needs exactly (and our price range). The Reef Hotel was indeed a well situated hotel in lovely grounds. However for us the highlight was the amazing safari to Tsavo East and especially the stay at Satao Camp. I cannot recommend this highly enough! Not only were the game drives incredible - and we saw everything we hoped to - but the actual Tsavo camp, situated as it is on a waterhole, was a truly magical experience. I shall never forget having a fantastic dinner
served in such beautiful surroundings only 100yrds away from elephants, impalas and giraffes. Then to top it off to sit by the camp fire, under African starry skies watching gazelle trot by and then spend the night under canvas - though I have to say that the 'tent' was considerably more luxurious than I was expecting. Thank you so much for suggesting this over the more usual game lodge safaris - your recommendation was spot on! I also want to commend you for the service you gave us whilst in Mombassa, from the personal collection at the Mombasa airport to the frequent (but not intrusive) calls to check that we were OK and to see if there was anything you could do for us. I just hope that more people get to hear about you and choose to use your service. I have certainly recommended you to all my friends and family. Thanks again for everything and we will definitely be using you if we are ever lucky enough to return to Kenya.

Thanks for checking in with us. In general, the African trip was fantastic -- including the travel guides, the accommodations, and the logistics, plus it was my 65th marriage anniversary. It was the best trip ever! I saw so many great animals and had a fantastic time with my two grandchildren and my two daughters. Thanks to the people at African Safaris and Adventures, they really made us feel special and were wonderful to all of us. Thank you for an unforgettable, once-in- a-lifetime experience. ” We were thrilled with the trip, particularly with the excellent and organized itinerary, the beautiful accommodations and most importantly, our fantastic guide Solomon. Words cannot describe how comfortable and safe we felt in his hands We saw more animals than we thought possible, including giraffe, cheetah, elephants, lions, buffalo, hippos and even a leopard -- all within just a few feet. We ate the most delicious food in the most beautiful settings, such as breakfast right in the middle of the Serengeti with zebra and wildebeest by our side. It is also worth mentioning that our entire safari to Tanzania went off without a glitch and we were able to relax and just enjoy it. To this day, we watch the DVD of our photos and it puts a smile on our face instantly. We would wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone interested in visiting the region! THANK
YOU
The two of us climbed Kilimanjaro, led by our guide Michael and support from the team African Safaris and Adventures put together for us. We took the Mount Kilimanjaro Rongai route, which meant camping 5 nights. We haven't camped much but even on this huge mountain, found it more enjoyable than previous experiences. Not hard, since we had Two Mountain Climbing guides a cook and porters taking care of everything. When we arrived at each campsite, the table was set for us to have snacks—and the food was always really good! We're both pretty fit and had no trouble with the Mount Kilimanjaro climb, but Michael encouragement and reminding us to climb "pole, pole" helped a lot. Every day, the views and the experience were better than the previous. - The safari was also top notch. Our guide, Solomon became a friend and was Just the right kind of person for us. A wealth of information without talking too much, smart, friendly, helped us understand about local real life-- things you can't get out of a book. Also, a great eye for game. Seemed to have telescopic vision-- helping us spot a leopard in a tree with its kill or some other breathtaking scene every day. - If you are committed to taking a holiday to Tanzania but not sure how to do it, here's our thought process: We wanted to experience everything we could include camping safari, luxury lodges and tented lodges. We enjoyed them all but have the warmest memories of the tented lodges. You're in a big tent, with real beds. The tent is typically on a platform of wood or concrete, with a thatched roof over it and a perfectly fine bathroom attached to the back of it. This allows the lodges to be placed in remote and beautiful settings.
Awesome little bars for the cocktail hour after a game drive and good food at charming restaurants in bush settings. - From a practical point of view-- When we were deciding and preparing for the trip, we asked ourselves "Does it make sense to send this money to somebody in Tanzania we've never met? We'd be dubious about sending money even to somebody near home in the U.S." Well, we decided if we were going to Tanzania, we ought to support a local safari company, even it felt like taking more of a chance than going with a UK or US based or partnered safaris companies. Of course, it all turned out great and we consider it one of our best life decisions! Esther met us at the airport and Everything went on schedule with not one hiccup for the entire two weeks. Warm and friendly people at every turn and total support for anything we needed. We would be glad to give you more information if you contact her

We took our honeymoon safari in October 2006 with African Safaris and Adventures to Kenya and cannot commend this firm highly enough. They really went out of their way to make our trip memorable by going out of their way to accommodate us in every sense.
Due to our general disorganization we did not book until 2 weeks beforehand but they were accommodating in this way and refused to take a deposit given the late booking.
We were met by Esther a director of the tour company, on arrival and were treated like royalty from then on. They provided an articulate and knowledgeable driver who was also our guide for the first two parks we visited - Amboseli Ol' Tukai Lodge which was amazing with incredible views) and Lake Nakuru Lodge (Lion Hill again great food and
welcome). The Kenya lodges we stayed at were great from the point of view of the views, game availability and food which was of a high standard. We then flew from Nairobi to the Masai Mara on flying safari and stayed at Mara Intrepids which was a touch of luxury and well worth the extra. We then moved on to Mara Leisure which again was luxury lodge. This is a new safari camp and although based outside the park was a treat given the personal service we received (as only 2 of 4 people staying) and the enormous tent that we stayed in, completing new, safe and good to be in what was a genuine Masai community (owned and run by Kenyans). African Safaris and Adventures arranged every detail of the trip and did so for a price that was better than any other travel
Company and for better price as reputable UK safari companies were offering for road safari trips in a far lesser standard of accommodation. Sam was exceptional: well informed and welcoming throughout. This firm could not have been better in any way and can be thoroughly recommended. Finally we'd like to promote the fact that by booking and trusting Kenya based safari companies such as this you are investing in a wonderful country that needs such trust and investment. You really can't lose as it gives you exposure to Kenyan people, you are investing directly in the country and the level of service is undoubtedly better and cheaper than that offered by UK or American tour companies. If you're thinking of 'going safe' and booking with an international tour company please have a think and decide to trust our review and you won't regret it!

''Just wanted to thank you for helping to give us the best Zanzibar holiday we have ever had!! You really managed to put together a vacation of a lifetime. And apart from the blip in Zanzibar (still not sure what happened there), everything was smooth and stress free. Wow - what a country - so many people with so little and yet so much. Always a smile and a happy face and a Jambo wherever we went. Africa is the business - we will never forget this Zanzibar trip – Elvis was absolutely blown away (especially by the balloon trip - no pun intended......). Alex our driver was fantastic; he went over and above every day to give us the best care and attention. He was an absolute gem, always there for us and went out of his way to make sure we were always comfortable and that we saw as much game as possible. Alex went in so close sometimes that I thought we would have
lions sitting in the van with us. Mathew was great too, we had a blow out in the dark on the way to Mapenzi, but he changed the tire and we were back on the road in 10mins. He organsed at very short notice a guide to show us around Stone Town on our last day and he was great too at the airport when we waited for an hour and a half outside in the heat because the plane before ours had been overbooked by 16 and people were getting irate because they didn't get on the flight. He stood by the desk with our passports and kept pushing them under the nose of the staff until we were booked, to make sure we were not left behind. Olonana Camp is a very special place, they greeted us by saying welcome home and that's exactly what it was for 3 nights. Our Butler Lawrence was there whenever we needed him - bringing us tea in bed before our morning drive - our washing was taken from the basket each morning and delivered clean and ironed each night and a hot water bottle was in our beds when we turned in each night. On John's birthday they
baked a cake and performed a fantastic dance for him with all the staff singing the Jambo Jambo song - that was hilarious! Included in the price was a guided tour to the Masai village where we were made very welcome, and a nature walk too (we know all about turmite hills now). We weren't pushed to pay out for any extras as you often are when you go on holiday and on our last night they thanked us for choosing to stay with them and hoped that we would act as ambassadors for Kenya on our return. They even put a bed time story about why a leopard puts his kill in the tree and why the turtle has a cracked shell on our pillows to wish us Lala Salama. We were on our way back through the Mara reserve when Alex got a radio call to say a leopard was sleeping under a bush (I'd told him that was my favorite big cat) and Alex sad he had to get us to it or he would have failed us. We were very sad to leave but Kenya owes us a rhino as that's the only one of the Big 5 we didn't get to see, so we have a good reason to go back. Once again thank you so much from myself John and Alistair for helping me to organise this trip.

Dear Esther
Service from African Safaris and Adventures was excellent, Esther was my contact and she always answered quickly and professionally to my multiple questions (as it was the first time that I was tacking a safari in Africa) and it was the first time that I booked a holiday by e-mail and with a foreign travel agency and everything went well. As soon as they received the payment I was informed. After a 4 hour drive from Nairobi to Selenkay conservancy with our driver john (I will never forget this, the bumpy roads and all these trucks driving right, left, according the holes in the roads! But, we felt safe with our very good driver) we reached Amboseli Porini Camp. We were impressed by the kindness of the Masai in the Amboseli Camp; we felt we were being looked after by friends. They really took care of my daughter and me like princesses and made our stay at Porini camp Amboseli unforgettable. Our guide john was amazing. His skill, knowledge and patience during the game drives were impressive. A nice man. He is a living encyclopedia. He was very nice with his team as well. We had every comfort we could wish in the camp, a nice big tent, clean and very comfortable. The food was of very good quality. The game drives from Amboseli Porini Camp in the Selenkay conservancy were very interesting as we were the only guests in the conservancy. The next day a very nice American couple joined us and we shared the day (game drive to Amboseli) together and the evening and we really enjoyed their company. The evening game drives were very nice and most of
all the sundowner at the scenic viewpoint. We were lucky as it was full moon and we could see the African sky is much clearer to see the stars (explained by john and since then my daughter Linda can recognize a lot of stars in the Swiss sky!). At Amboseli and Lake Nakuru safari lodge the game drives were great as well, but with more buses and cars around us which made it different from the Selenkay Conservancy. It goes without saying that for me the best experience was to see all those animals in freedom in the nature, these wonderful landscapes with the Kilimanjaro at the back. But, I think that it was the walk with the Masai and the visit to their village. We felt like guests and not like tourists invading their living and I will never forget their kindness and smiles.

We arrived in Houston two days ago :( and are still feeling quite jetlagged. We had the most fantastic time. Everything went so smoothly for us and we'll have the most wonderful, exciting memories of Africa. We saw all the wildlife we wanted to and more. Masai Mara - we were very surprised to be upgraded to 'Mara Explorer Camp'. We asked the Manager why we were lucky enough to be upgraded and she said the tour operator who booked us is a very good customer of theirs and that because they operate huge volumes; they are much respected travel company! It was the pinnacle for us - perfect for our anniversary - the best place yet. Every new destination we went to we saw new species. Most of all everyone treated us like royalty. The guides, drivers, askaris, waiters etc all were fantastic. Now we're back home - but not treated like royalty any more...........he. Thanks for organising this great holiday in Kenya for us."

Houston Texas United States of America I am writing to say "THANK-YOU" to African Safaris and Adventures for the safari holiday of a lifetime; our lifetime! We had the wonderful experience of being on safari to Africa with Joseph koto, traveling through Kenya and Tanzania. We knew from the minute we met Joseph at the airport, that we were in most capable hands and were now ready for our safari adventure. The knowledge, humor and kindness we enjoyed throughout our safari, was evident from our first introductions! I was traveling with my Mother and my two children. This I knew could be quite the challenge for even the most experienced of guides. My concerns quickly disappeared. We felt comfortable and safe the throughout the entire journey. The professionalism and attention to detail was so evident with African Safaris Adventures. I worked many years in the travel industry for Canada's largest tour operator, visiting many exciting holiday destinations. Our vacation with African Safaris Adventures was definitely the best trip I have ever been on. It was the most organized and well planned trip, with a variety of accommodations and daily activities. Each new day brought with it a different, exciting adventure. The safari was such an incredible journey! In every regard, it was flawless. Joseph was undoubtedly the best tour guide I have ever had the pleasure of traveling with. The entire safari, Joseph humored and entertained us, sharing with us his many stories about life in Kenya. His vast knowledge of tribal life was so interesting and much appreciated. Within a few days, we proudly considered Joseph more than just our safari guide; he was our friend. Joseph had a great impact on us all. Joseph has a special gift and how fortunate we were to have spent our time with him. We are all better people for it! He is in every regard, a true ambassador to not only your company, but to Africa in general. We really enjoyed the variety of accommodation. Each property had its' own uniqueness and we enjoyed them all with one exception. We found the Amboseli Sopa Lodge to not be of the same standard as the rest of the properties. Our favorite property was the Mbuzi Mawe camp in Tanzania. We found our stay there remarkable and definitely one of our highlights. The staff was so incredibly friendly and paid attention to every detail of our stay. We have many fond memories of our time spent with them. One of the most memorable experiences of our trip was the day we visited Malezi School. My sons are both avid basketball players and rarely go a day without playing. They were going through basketball withdrawal and missing it badly. When Joseph realized this, he contacted Esther. Chris set to work and magically organized a basketball scrimmage for my sons to participate in at this school. My boys still talk about this and will remember it as a highlight of their holiday safari. We cannot thank Esther enough for putting such effort in to arranging this event. While at the school, in conversation with their coach, we discovered the interest in a possible team trip to Canada. We will be in contact with the school to see if this is a possibility. What an experience that would be and it would all be possible because of Esther great efforts! We have now been back in Canada for two months and the impact of our safari and time spent in Africa never ceases to amaze us. The sights and experiences of your wonderful continent marvel that of anywhere. When asked about our trip, one can only reply how great it was but in no way can convey its' emotional impact. We believe that one must experience the adventure to fully realize and appreciate it. Words cannot paint a vivid enough picture to describe it. You must live the adventure to get the full appreciation of what it means to be "on safari". We were expecting the animals to be amazing but were not anticipating to be affected by the people of your great nation the way we were. For us, it was so much more than just the animals. It was the people of Kenya and Tanzania that now make our memories so important and we will cherish those memories for our lifetime. For this, my parents, my sons and I, say a heartfelt thank you to all of you at African Horizons for making our safari the adventure it was!

"I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our safari to Uganda. It was fabulous. Our guide, martin was especially good, He helped make the holiday to Uganda a great success. He is just a wonderful tour guide. He found animals that other safari guides in the savannah couldn't find. We saw at least a dozen lions, including two different groups in trees. We also saw a very large leopard come out from behind some vegetation, walk over to a tree and climb it. I don't know how he spotted them; they were all but invisible to us until he pointed them out. Our gorilla tracking safari event was also terrific. Our guides managed to find our gorilla family within 30 minutes--a good thing for me, since the climb was pretty strenuous! Seeing them was, of course, a really wonderful and touching experience. The other thing I want to mention is that martin figured out that my birthday occurred during the Uganda trip--at the Bwindi Forest camp. He arranged for the Bwindi camp staff to surprise me with a birthday cake, complete with singing 'Happy Birthday." Also, the staff gave us a bottle of wine for my birthday for dinner that night. So, my birthday included seeing a leopard, two lions in a tree, a birthday cake, and a lovely bottle of wine. A memorable day. Martin did all this just upon seeing my birth date in my passport copy is quite remarkable. He is truly an expert safari guide and a lovely man. Thanks for all your help with making this trip possible."

I cottage a Lewa erano molto belle e spaziose.
All'aeroporto
Erano solo puntini. Abbiamo cavalcato i cammelli indietro,

I wanted to thank you again for another fantastic Safari experience. My first trip to Kenya in 2003 was certainly a winner and then to do another trip to Tanzania with you in 2009 was more than a curtain call. The organization and safaris itineraries for both were unsurpassed. Anyone who has ever dreamed of an African safari should strongly consider your safaris programs. Where do I start to try to describe my thoughts about the safari holiday to Tanzania? People ask me what I liked best, and my answer is, every 10 minutes there was a new best. Let’s start with the safari vehicles; they couldn't have been better. Comfortable, not crowded and since we were on a photographic safari plenty of room for camera equipment, and lots of room to shoot pictures. Even the non photographers loved it. We laughed when we saw the other tour safari groups with 9 people standing up, trying to shot photos. The drivers: very knowledgeable, our driver had a 30 years experience as a tour guide driver, knew every thing about the animals, people, history, etc. He was great at spotting animals, that I never saw, and predicted their behavior. The safari lodges in Tanzania especially Serengeti Serena Lodge: they were super, great rooms, beds, and showers. The food was excellent (I did have a couple tough steaks), and the staffs were super. The Leader: Don't get a big head, but I can't imagine going to a country like Tanzania, without a leader with your experience and knowledge. Being fluent in the language was a big help at the airport, villages and at the lodges. Your expertise in photography safaris, along with your constant concern that everyone was enjoying themselves, able to see the animals, and get the pictures they wanted, made our trip the safari of a life time

''Just thought you would like to hear how we got on in Africa - one word 'unbelievable!!!'. Your itinerary was superb - we were met in Arusha by a driver guide (Matata ) who was just brilliant - he was knowledgeable about not only the animals birds and flora of the region but also the political/social history as well. He was punctual, educational, had a good sense of humour and really enriched our experience - he even waited at the airport in Arusha until our plane left the ground in case he had to make other arrangements to get us to Zanzibar. The hotels in Tanzania were out of this world - easily the best we have ever stayed in - food, service, and accommodation absolutely spot on. On Zanzibar we were met at the airport and transported to Breezes hotel Zanzibar (easily the pick of the bunch) - again our driver guide Omar was punctual and efficient and told us about the area en route. He was available every day for us should we need him. Now we come to the Tembo Hotel - the hotel was nice enough (though not a patch on the others) but we were disappointed that they had an 'arrangement' with the town that resulted in what seemed limitless numbers of very noisy locals using the pool despite a sign stating that the pool was for residents only and requesting silence. The location also left a lot to be desired with three cargo ships unloading onto the beach in front of the hotel throughout our stay - I would have happily paid a bit extra to have been put up in another hotel. Please look on these last comments as constructive criticism as they did not have a huge impact on our overall enjoyment of our holiday to Tanzania and Zanzibar which I must say again was superb. I stand by what I said a while back that if you want to send me some advertising material I will happily distribute it around the fire stations etc in my area - please also feel free to use any comments in your material as a satisfied customer! Once again thank you for making this an unforgettable holiday.

Though it has been over two years since our safari, the trip remains for us a "trip of a lifetime." Much of the reason for this is because of your dedication to your clients and your willingness to share your vast knowledge about the wildlife we saw and the Maasai village we visited. One of our friends, who had gone on a Kenya safari with a different safari group, spent much time looking at our photos and reading captions I had written. "How do you know the names of all the animals?" he asked. "Our guide Biko told us," I responded, puzzled by his question. As we talked, it became obvious that he had had a number of guides during his safari to Kenya, many of whom seemed to remain silent. But you went beyond simply identifying the animals we saw. You told us how they
lived...and, more importantly, you gave us a respect for all wildlife from the majestic elephants and lions to the lowly termites and dung beetles. We never dreamt that our safari guide would be a member of the Maasai tribe! One of the few tribes that has not been assimilated into the general population, the Maasai are at a crossroads in their history and you stand with "a foot in two worlds" so to speak. You spent an evening telling us about your people and their customs and later took us to a village, watching with pride as children recited the alphabet in their one-room school house...a building built with cow dung and furnished with a single blackboard. The majority of Maasai children didn't go to school when you were growing up. And the Maasai village of today will be vastly different 10 years from now. I cherish the pictures I have and stories you shared. In addition to your background and knowledge, you provided personal touches that added immensely to the safari: an evening of music; your talk on the Maasai; a nature walk to discuss local plants. One "personal touch" took place on the Serengeti. We were at the "airport," only there was no building, no tower or landing strip. Gazelles and impalas grazed nearby. The sun cast shadows on the paw prints of a lion who had visited the night before. As we waited for the plane, you took out your guitar and sang a song...your voice and music the only sound on that vast plain. And in that setting, Ron and I began to dance. Every time I think of that moment--of us dancing on the plains of the Serengeti--it makes me smile. It is a forever memory! Thanks to you, there are a number of them.

Dear Edwin
Just a short note to express our thanks to you and your travel team for such a wonderful vacation to Africa. Our holiday to Kenya and Zanzibar vacation turned into what can only be described as the "vacation of a lifetime". Aside from the facts that the natural beauty of both countries and the friendliness of the people left a lasting impression on us, the wonderful experiences we had were greatly facilitated by the impeccable organization and the warmth and friendliness exuded by you and your team. We never once experienced a moment of doubt’s that we were in safe hands at all times as the Safari, connecting flights, safari lodges, beach hotel accommodations and transfers flowed together seamlessly. As one of our drivers said "We do not want you to have to think while you are in Africa". If this is indeed a philosophy of your team it works! I would also like to highly commend our tour guide Dennis for his professionalism throughout the Safari. His knowledge and ability to communicate with his clients is second to none, He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety and to ensure that we saw what we came to see. Once again, thanks ever so much for a wonderful vacation and experience of a lifetime. Your services will be highly commended to our friends and relatives.

I think about our trip every day and thought you might like to hear about our trip from someone who is NOT a birdwatcher. It was so nice to see Esther, Biko and Kiboko at the airport after our long flight. I liked it that within a few minutes they taught us a few words in Kiswahili that we used throughout our visit. By the time we arrived at our lodge in Arusha, we knew that we would enjoy being Biko and Kiboko for the next 17 days of our safari vacation duration. We felt very lucky to have Biko and Kiboko our driver and guide. During our trip we saw many things that the average tourist does not see or experience. We were impressed to see that Kiboko was always scanning the countryside for birds and mammals while Biko managed to take the vehicle over very rough roads without jarring us too much. When Kiboko spotted something he would wave his hand
just a little and Biko would stop immediately. They did a great job spotting animals and birds that were very difficult to see and would position the vehicle so we were in the best place to see them. Even though three people in our group are not bird watchers we felt that looking at birds greatly added to our appreciation of wildlife in your country. After a while, looking at zebras and impalas can get to be a little boring, but there were always new and beautiful birds to see. Since trying to find the location where Kiboko and Biko had spotted them could be a little challenging, it made it seem like we were hunting ourselves even though we did not leave the vehicle. Tarangire Safari Lodge and Gibbs Farm were our favorite accommodations. Our visits to the orphanage and the school also
made our trip very special. It gave us an opportunity to meet the people of Tanzania who are not involved in the tourist industry and are trying so hard to give the children of you country better lives. The most memorable part of our animal watching was seeing birds, cheetahs and lions hunt their prey. Geitan spotted our first cheetah and we watched it slowly approach its prey. Now I must tell you that the very BEST part of our safari was meeting and becoming friends with Guides. Not only are they very intelligent, professional guides who went to great lengths to make sure we were safe and having a great time, but we also really enjoyed their company and sense of humor. They became our friends and we miss them. We are very happy to be references for African Safaris and Adventures as Birdwatching Safaris Experts.

I would like to thank all the staff of African Safaris and Adventures Uganda Office for a wonderful gorilla and wildlife safari. My brother and I had a fantastic time in Uganda and Rwanda. Kevin was a great driver--very knowledgeable, very friendly, always on time.
Thanks again.

Hi Esther I had a great trip. The wildlife viewing was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. Biko provided excellent guiding. Very sensitive to clients needs/requests. For example at Ngorongoro Crater he stopped for me every time we encountered Grey Crowned Cranes because I loved them and got the exact camera shot I wanted. He was also very good about positioning the vehicle so we had the opportunity to obtain the best photographs and lighting. Probably the best example of his attentiveness was exchanging the warm water bottles for cold ones at the store the water was bought at on a very warm day. His courtesy and thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated by me and my fellow passengers. Biko is an excellent Driver-cum Guide. He was very considerate of the passengers trying not to bounce us around unnecessarily on the rough roads by avoiding potholes as best he could. He passed other vehicles safely and at reasonable speeds. Biko is a very knowledgeable and excellent guide with remarkable observational eyesight. He was great about stopping for bird watch and helping us to identify any bird spotted. He also taught us the Swahili names of the animals and more. Biko answered questions about plants, animals, and birds as well as whatever questions we thought of. He was always friendly, kind, thoughtful, very patient and respectful. As you can tell, I cannot say enough of how much I appreciate Biko and the great service he provided. Asante Sana

Galopp vom Fluss entfernt.
Right.
Adalwolfa Hamburg Germany
