Southern Palms Beach Hotel Resort is a beautiful 4 star beach hotel situated on the white beaches of Kenya Diani beach, approximately 35km South of Mombasa. The journey to the Southern Palms Hotel is an adventure, especially waiting to go on to the ferry, the spectacle of the local people leaving the ferry and pouring up the road is one you will never forget, have your cameras handy! On arrival at the Southern Palms Resort you’re warmly welcomed home and given a refreshing cold flannel and fruit juice which is most welcome.

The rooms are clean, spacious, decent size & spotless every day with good sized balconies big enough for a small football match and the pool and grounds are fantastic. The food is good and plentiful, and the entertainment fun and finishes at 11pm on the dot. The beach is beautiful and the Indian Ocean is like a warm bath, good snorkeling when the reef is exposed and there are plenty of sun beds. If you take the beach walks you are escorted by two members of staff and a security guard and you do not get hassled. The animation team is great motivator's and really good fun and the restaurant and bar staff have always got time for a chat. The beach is at the hotel doorstep and there were many games of football with the local guys, nothing too serious and everyone has a goodtime. The Indian Ocean is great to swim in. The beach BBQ is a must, with the Maasai Warriors making it a lifetime experience.

Southern Palms Hotel rooms are fully air-conditioned and feature a locally carved "Pili Pili" four-poster double bed, a standard size day bed that can convert into a second bed.

Tiled ceramic floor throughout the room and bathroom. Every room is fitted with a electronic safe for your convenience. The bathroom is well designed with a very spacious shower. All the rooms are overlooking the swimming pools and gardens, there is however a possibility of pre-booking one of our "Ocean Front Room", please inquire with our Reservations Office for the relevant requirements. Family inter connecting rooms are available on various floors. Balconies and Verandas are very spacious and fitted with "Swahili easy chairs". Southern Palms Beach Resort is known for its great seafood and meat platters and offers four restaurants to choose from, all serving good, tasty meals. The Hotel main restaurant seats 450 guests and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner - buffet style. They serve good crab, prawns and steaks, and their Spiny Langouste (clawless lobster) is simply delicious.

The second dining option at Southern Palms Resort, the Manyatta ‘Nyama Choma’ (African barbeque) Restaurant is next to the pool and serves grilled meat, game and fish. They use special spices on their dishes that give a great twist to a traditional barbeque.

The Boriti Snack Restaurant offers snacks and light lunches during the day while the Beachcomber Stir-fry chefs dish up great “mix” a la minute nibbles right on the beachfront. Another dinner option, the La via Romana Italian Restaurant, offers great a la carte Italian food. This restaurant is next to the ocean and makes for a really pretty setting.

There are also 5 bars spread out over the property, including 2 ‘swim up bars’ by the poolside. All of them stay open ‘till 11pm. After dinner, guests may watch or dance to a selection of various live African bands, musicians, acrobats, and local folklore.
